I am a Clinical and Educational Speech-Language Pathologist with multicultural and professional experience in Chile for over 7 years. Speech-Language Pathology is a health science profession that studies normal human communication and its disorders or alterations. I focus on evaluating, diagnosing, and intervening through a process of re-education, rehabilitation, and therapeutic intervention in the areas of voice and speech (orofacial motor skills), hearing, alternative communication, learning, and language, which comprises four levels. Lexical-Semantic Level: This level relates to vocabulary acquisition and semantic content. In my practice, I apply various tests for evaluation. For children aged 3 to 5 years and 11 months, I use the TECAL Test for auditory language comprehension, and for children aged 6 to 15 years, I use the Speech-Language Pathology Evaluation Guide for school-aged children. ENi2 Child Neuropsychological Evaluation. Phonetic-Phonological Level: At this level, phonological processes are evaluated, identifying disorders in phoneme acquisition and articulatory alterations. In my practice, I apply the direct observation guide for speech articulators (OFA), the Phonological Processes Test for children aged 3 to 5 years, and the TAR Test for children aged 6 years, minors, and adults. Morphosyntactic Level: At this level, I evaluate sentence structure and grammatical components in gender, number, and verb tenses. I apply the Spanish Grammar Exploratory Test, performing receptive and expressive language screening for children aged 3 to 5 years and 11 months. Pragmatic Level: I evaluate language use with a narrative discourse guide and through direct observation of linguistic skills. Following the evaluation process, I provide a report detailing results for each language level assessed, issue the respective diagnosis, and offer treatment plan suggestions for parents and teachers.
