I am an Internist Rheumatologist. I am an Associate Professor of Medicine at Universidad del Norte and Universidad Libre in Barranquilla. I served as President of the Colombian Association of Rheumatology (2001-3) and the Pan American League of Associations for Rheumatology (PANLAR) (2016-18), where I initiated the Pan American Congresses for Patients with Rheumatic Diseases. I was awarded the 'Fernando Chalem' Excellence in Rheumatology scholarship (2015). At the Arthritis and Osteoporosis Center, I provide comprehensive care for patients with rheumatic diseases, including arthritis, lupus, osteoarthritis, gout, and other rheumatic conditions. I offer diagnoses and second opinions. I comprehensively evaluate rheumatic patients using musculoskeletal ultrasound, clinimetric scales, and systematic assessment of risk factors.
