Dr. Angela María Polanco Barreto

I am a psychologist with a Master's in Neurosciences, specializing in the biological bases of behavior. I am an active researcher, belonging to A1 and C-category research groups (Colciencias), and a lecturer at the Iberoamerican University Corporation and Fundación Universitaria Área Andina, teaching courses in behavioral neurosciences, biology, genetics, and quantitative research. I have designed academic programs, including a virtual diploma in 'Neuropsychology: Strategies for Inclusion' and specialized courses in neuropsychology for education. For 11 years, I founded and directed Research and Development at the CEDHI Foundation. In this role, I applied my expertise in clinical and neuropsychological evaluation and intervention to promote school inclusion, develop tailored care models for individuals with functional diversity, and create assessment tools for rehabilitative, therapeutic, adaptive, and inclusive processes. I regularly present my research at national and international conferences.
