Dra. Ingrid Rodríguez Espitia

In 2004, I graduated as a general practitioner. I completed my rural service at the Madrid Cundinamarca hospital, gaining skills in emergency services, labor and delivery, hospitalization, and outpatient consultations. This experience fostered growth not only academically but also in my doctor-patient relationships. Later, in 2011, I completed my pediatrics specialization. I worked in the emergency department at Clínica Colombia and in outpatient consultations at Compensar EPS. There, I formed a group with a pediatric pulmonologist and two colleagues, conducting joint consultations. This experience deepened my passion for pulmonology, leading me to pursue my second specialization, which I completed in 2018. Currently, I work in outpatient consultations and interconsultations at two recognized institutions in the country. I love my profession. I am highly responsible and committed to my patients. I strive to offer them my best as a pediatric pulmonologist, constantly updating my knowledge to achieve this. I also prioritize an excellent doctor-patient-caregiver relationship and assertive communication with patients and their families. I believe that patient and family education and empowerment are key to understanding the illness, encouraging proper treatment adherence, and ultimately, managing the condition.
