Dra. Giuliana Puccini Santamaria

I graduated as a Medical Surgeon from Colegio Mayor de Nuestra Señora del Rosario in 1995. Subsequently, I specialized in Gynecology and Obstetrics at Universidad El Bosque, receiving my degree in June 2003. I completed complementary studies and practice in Maternal-Fetal Medicine and gynecological-obstetric ultrasound at Hospital Universitario Fundación Santa Fe de Bogotá.

I also pursued studies at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA, (USA), validated by Universidad El Bosque.

In 2011, I completed a Diploma in Gynecological Endocrinology at Universidad El Bosque.

Later, I undertook the clinical course of the online continuing education program (PEC–Online) of the Latin American Network of Assisted Reproduction, with practical experience at Red Crea Medicina Reproductiva in Mexico City, receiving my degree in Buenos Aires (Argentina) in April 2017.

Additionally, I am certified by the Colombian Federation of Perinatology and Maternal-Fetal Medicine Associations and by the International Academy of Medical Ultrasound (IMAU) at an Advanced Level for performing ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

I completed the Recertification of my specialty, granted by the Colombian Federation of Societies of Obstetrics and Gynecology (FECOLSOG), in May 2018.

I have participated in multiple publications as an author and co-author, and I obtained first place in research in the poster category at the National Congress of Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2016.

Currently, I direct the ultrasound and prenatal diagnosis unit at Asociados en Reproducción Humana and I am a member of the Maternal-Fetal Medicine Unit of the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics at Fundación Santa Fe de Bogotá since 2004, where I provide instruction and teaching to gynecology-obstetrics residents from Universidad El Bosque and students from Universidad de los Andes.

I have been a member of the board of directors of the Bogotá Association of Perinatology and Maternal-Fetal Medicine since 2004, and served as president from 2016 to 2018.
