Dra. Diana Perez Moreno

I am a Medical Doctor and Surgeon from the Pedagogical and Technological University of Colombia (U.P.T.C) - 2007. I initially specialized in Clinical Epidemiology at Universidad del Bosque - 2011. Subsequently, I completed my residency in Anesthesiology and Resuscitation at Fundación Universitaria San Martín, Bogotá campus - 2015.

Later, I began my Fellowship in Pain Medicine and Palliative Care at Fundación Universitaria de Ciencias de la Salud (F.U.C.S) - San José Hospital – Bogotá, earning my specialist title in Pain Medicine and Palliative Care in 2016.

I recognized the need for deeper knowledge and expertise in interventional procedures, particularly for oncological pain. This led me to pursue a second Fellowship in Interventional Pain Management at the National Autonomous University of Mexico, in collaboration with the National Cancer Institute of Mexico - 2018.

In Mexico, I trained directly with Dr. Ricardo Plancarte Sánchez's group, a global authority in this field. He is known for developing various interventional techniques for oncological pain management and authoring numerous internationally indexed books and publications.

Upon completing my Fellowship, I returned to Colombia to continue my work in pain medicine and palliative care. My focus includes not only patient care but also educational and research initiatives, with a strong emphasis on interventional pain management.

My academic and professional achievements have allowed me to actively participate in several associations, including: WIP - WORLD INSTITUTE OF PAIN; ACCP (Colombian Association of Palliative Care) where I serve as a VOCAL; ACED (Colombian Association for the Study of Pain), the Colombian Chapter of the IASP; SCARE (Colombian Society of Anesthesiology and Resuscitation) – FEPASDE; and the Cundinamarca Society of Anesthesiology and Resuscitation.
