Dra. Claudia Cristina Salazar Montoya

The services I offer aim to contribute to the maintenance and/or recovery of mental health for individuals, their families, and loved ones. I use a systemic approach that allows for a comprehensive understanding of suffering, as well as the capacity for recovery and enjoyment of life. I view individuals and their families as complex and diverse biopsychosocial beings who require an approach tailored to their condition, including psychoemotional, social, and sometimes pharmacological aspects, to achieve that challenging and subtle balance that allows for living life with hope, dignity, and freedom.

I graduated as a general practitioner from Universidad Tecnológica de Pereira in 1991. I completed training in systemic family therapy in 1997, and that same year, I undertook an internship at the "Nuovo Centro per lo studio della famiglia" in Milan, Italy. I specialized in University Teaching at Universidad Santo Tomás in 2000. I obtained a diploma in Humanized Parenting from Universidad Cooperativa de Colombia in 2001. I received a diploma in Adolescents from the Leño Verde Foundation, Cartagena. I specialized in Child Abuse Prevention at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, Bogotá, in 2003. I became a medical specialist in Psychiatry at Universidad Tecnológica de Pereira in 2011.
