Dra. Cecilia Zamora Espitia

I am a psychologist from the National University of Colombia. I have psychoanalytic training. I possess extensive clinical experience in psychoanalysis and individual psychotherapy with children, adolescents, and adults. I am trained in Systemic Therapy and have experience in group intervention (families, couples, and institutional groups) for mental health prevention and promotion activities. My experience includes treating depressive states, anxiety, communication difficulties, grief processing, relationship breakdowns, family conflicts, body image dissatisfaction, challenges with children's adherence to rules, and identity-related conflicts, among others. I also conduct group psychotherapy with young people; groups for parents facing difficulties with their children; and group approaches for couples in conflict. I address emotional difficulties specific to children and adolescents, including school-related challenges. I am a university lecturer with practical experience in researching social issues in our context and in developing and supervising the execution of institutional projects for vulnerable populations in the field of psychological health. My recent training covers contemporary issues affecting children, young adults, and common contemporary symptoms, including the consequences of attachment (Rusell community, Buenos Aires). I also conduct emotional problem prevention activities with parents of children and adolescents.
