Dra. Carolina Meza Paul

Since I began my medical studies at the Central University of Venezuela, my interest was always focused on becoming an OB/GYN. This led me to pursue my postgraduate studies in this specialty, strengthening my training in laparoscopic surgery and hysteroscopy to become a comprehensive professional. With effort and dedication, I fulfilled my dream of completing a fellowship in Minimally Invasive Gynecological Surgery at IRCAD in Strasbourg, France, where I had the invaluable opportunity to learn from Professor Arnaud Wattiez, who had become my surgical mentor.

For a year, I learned, performed daily endometriosis surgeries, and traveled, giving courses and conferences in countries like Brazil, Greece, Taiwan, Turkey, Brussels, and Germany. After this enriching experience, I returned to my country, practicing as an Endoscopic Gynecologist at the Comprehensive Women's Clinical Unit. I continued my journey with my husband, taking a new path towards Medellín, Colombia.

Here, I began to set new goals and projects, always focused on endometriosis treatment. I started as a Gynecologic Oncologist at the Institute of Cancerology at Clínica de Las Américas, and today I have my private medical practice in Torre de Las Américas, where I provide services, offering effective treatment to women suffering from this condition.

Currently, I am a professional deeply committed to endometriosis, striving to give it the recognition it deserves and reinforcing the idea that this condition requires comprehensive management involving multiple healthcare professionals. My purpose in this endeavor for endometriosis is to raise awareness of this disease by consolidating a broad team of doctors. Together, we aim to develop a health institution recognized locally and with international projection, characterized by providing comprehensive and innovative services for endometriosis treatment. These services will empower patients to navigate their journey, strengthened by the support and guidance each one needs based on their unique situation.

All of this is in pursuit of enhancing their quality of life, through actions based on professional experience and ethics, fostering close and trusting relationships that enable these courageous women to live dignified and fulfilling lives.
