I am Dr. Carmen Narváez Monterroza, a surgeon dedicated to the subspecialty of Thoracic Surgery in Montería. Throughout my clinical career I have built rigorous medical training at leading national and international institutions, focused on giving you precise answers about your lung and chest health.

I earned my medical degree at Universidad de Cartagena and went on to complete my specialty in General Surgery at Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana in Medellín. To deepen my expertise in complex conditions, I subspecialized in Thoracic Surgery at the University of São Paulo (INCOR / ICESP), in Brazil.

I complemented my career with specialized training at Hospital Universitario Puerta de Hierro and Hospital Mútua Terrassa in Spain, as well as at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School, focusing on minimally invasive and robotic surgical approaches.

I see patients in person at Torre Riverpark, office 1406, in Montería. From there I focus my practice on techniques such as video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS / Uniportal), which allow minimal incisions, reduce post-operative discomfort and support a faster return to your daily activities.
