I have been a medical doctor and surgeon since 1998, a graduate of the National University. I have been a nephrologist since 2005, trained at the University of Navarra in Pamplona, Spain. Currently, I direct the Nephroprotection Program: Renal Health and Care in Bucaramanga.
Now, I am living my dream of leading my private practice, where I focus on the early management of patients with diabetes or hypertension who have developed kidney complications, patients with kidney stones, and glomerular diseases such as lupus nephritis. I am an associate professor for the Internal Medicine postgraduate program at the Autonomous University of Bucaramanga, teaching Nephrology in the second year of specialization. This allows internal medicine residents to acquire essential nephrology competencies.
