Welcome. I am a physician with a humanistic and empathetic approach. I specialized in Psychiatry and Mental Health at the University of Cartagena and have perinatal psychiatry training from the European Institute of Perinatal Mental Health. During our 60-minute consultation, I will attentively listen to your symptoms and help you describe your experiences, without judgment, with empathetic listening. Through mental status examination and diagnostic aids (when appropriate), I will provide a diagnostic impression that will be explained so you can understand and learn about your condition. Treatment (whether pharmacological or not) should be accompanied by psychoeducation for both the patient and their family. I have experience with adult and adolescent mental health conditions. I also enjoy working in perinatal/maternal-fetal mental health: providing psychoeducation, counseling, and prevention of mental health conditions during pregnancy, childbirth, lactation, and parenting. My approach is holistic and will be tailored to your needs and those of your family. You determine your mental health goals and how you choose to achieve them.
