Dr. Sergio Darío Moreno Sanchez

I graduated as a Physician and Surgeon from the Industrial University of Santander, Colombia, in 2004. I completed my specialization in Ophthalmology at the University of Antioquia, Colombia, in 2009, and my specialization in Retina, Macula, and Vitreous at the National Ophthalmology Unit of Guatemala in 2011. I am known for my leadership, perseverance, and discipline in achieving goals that contribute to professional and social performance. My academic journey includes recognition as a distinguished student at the Industrial University of Santander and the Academic Excellence Award from the University of Antioquia in 2008. Currently, I am an active member of the Board of Directors of ACOREV – the Colombian Association of Retina and Vitreous. I also serve as a university lecturer and have published articles in scientific journals. As a Physician and Surgeon, I have extensive experience in healthcare institutions, demonstrating high proficiency and skill in both surgical and clinical fields. My expertise includes cataract surgery, refractive surgery, strabismus, glaucoma, ocular plastic surgery, vitreoretinal surgery and pathology, diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachment, and macular hole surgery, among others.
