I am an Ophthalmology Specialist from the prestigious Dr. Elías Santana Hospital in the Dominican Republic in 2011, where I also completed my subspecialty in Cornea and Refractive Surgery (2014). I graduated as a Medical Surgeon from the Juan N. Corpas School of Medicine in 2003.
My experience includes complex cataract surgery cases, placement of Intraocular Lenses for presbyopia and astigmatism correction (Premium Trifocal and Toric), Phacorefractive Surgery, Femtosecond Laser-assisted Cataract Surgery (LenSx). I manage anterior segment trauma. I perform myopia and astigmatism correction with Laser (Refractive Surgery with VISX and Intralase). I have experience in corneal transplants (PKP and K-Pro).
I am known for my kindness and warmth in treating each patient. I provide accurate diagnostic assessments and ensure that people clearly understand their condition. I dedicate time to explain each treatment.
I have been involved in humanitarian ophthalmological projects with the Christian organization Medical Ministry International (MMI) since 2007.
I regularly attend continuing education courses abroad. I am a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS), as well as the Colombian Society of Ophthalmology (SCO).
