I am a clinical neurologist with over 25 years of experience, an up-to-date expert in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of conditions affecting the brain, optic nerves, meninges, cerebrospinal fluid, spinal cord, peripheral nerves, and diseases impacting muscle strength and tone.

The most frequent reasons for consultation I address include various types of headaches, dizziness-vertigo, visual disturbances and double vision, facial paralysis, memory lapses and cognitive decline, seizures and epilepsies, sleep disorders, motor and sensory disturbances, gait and coordination issues, back and limb pain, tremors, and abnormal movements.

My patient relationship during consultation is based on:

1. Listening attentively and asking pertinent, relevant questions for each case, and 2. Performing a thorough neurological examination. Through this process, I achieve a very precise diagnostic impression. Finally, 3. I review laboratory results, X-rays, images, or other tests the patient has brought, and/or I proceed to request the strictly necessary technical-scientific aids to determine a definitive diagnosis.

Treatment will depend on the diagnosis and scientifically proven treatment protocols. Treatment will always be agreed upon thoughtfully, considering alternatives if applicable, with the patient and/or their family.

I must state that in my specialty, the outlook for neurological conditions is directly and intimately related to the timeliness of care and the effectiveness of diagnosis. The sooner a specialist is consulted, and the faster they make a diagnosis and initiate treatment: THE MORE FAVORABLE THE COURSE OF THE ILLNESS AND THE BETTER THE OUTCOME.
