I am Dr. Oscar Blanco García. I earned my Optometry degree from Santo Tomas University (2005) and a Master's in Vision Sciences from La Salle University (2016). My postgraduate studies include diplomas in Health Accreditation (Colombian Institute of Technical Standards and Certification, 2010), Clinical Research (Autonomous University of Bucaramanga, 2011), and University Teaching (Santo Tomas University, 2016).
With 13 years of experience, I specialize in refractive technology examinations, custom contact lens design for complex cases, and low vision rehabilitation. I currently practice at Blanco Grupo de Salud in Bucaramanga, Colombia. I also serve as a university lecturer and have presented at numerous national and international conferences. I am an active member of the Colombian Federation of Optometrists (serving as Santander section director from 2010-2014), the Latin American Association of Orthokeratology and Myopia Control, and the International Association of Contact Lens Educators, where I am pursuing my fellowship.
