Dr. Nelson Eduardo Murillo Benitez

I am Dr. Nelson Eduardo Murillo Benitez. My medical education includes Medicine and Surgery from the University of Quindío, followed by specialized training in Internal Medicine at CES University / Fundación Valle del Lili, and Clinical Cardiology at Universidad del Valle / Fundación Valle del Lili. I am a specialist in Familial Cardiomyopathies and have completed an expert course in Cardio-Oncology from Francisco de Vitoria University.

My advanced studies include diplomas in Epidemiology (IIC / Fundación Valle del Lili), Principles and Practice in Clinical Research (Harvard University), Lipids (Universidad del Bosque), and Diabetes (Universidad de la Sabana). I also hold a Master's in Heart Failure (SEC Campus) and a Master's in Anticoagulation (SEC/SCC). I am a Coach in Theotherapy CEPC.

I have served as the Former President of the Southwestern Region Chapter of the Colombian Society of Cardiology. I am an active member of the Colombian Society of Cardiology (Heart Failure and Cardio-Oncology Chapter), the European Society of Cardiology (ESC), its Heart Failure Chapter (HF ESC), and the European Cardio-Oncology Council. Additionally, I am a member of the Spanish Society of Cardiac Imaging (SEIC). My experience includes preceptorship and advisory board roles for Fabry Disease, and I have been a speaker for leading pharmaceutical companies.
