Dr. Mario Cruz Sánchez

I am a Plastic Surgeon, a graduate of the National University of Colombia and a full member of the Colombian Society of Plastic Surgery. I was honored with first place in the Arcadio Forero competition by the Colombian Society of Plastic Surgery and serve as a professor at the University of Tolima. My practice is dedicated to plastic, aesthetic, and reconstructive surgery at Clínica Medicadiz and Hospital Federico Lleras Acosta.

I see patients in a modern office at Clínica Medicadiz, Samaria branch, and perform surgical procedures at Clínica Medicadiz and UNICAT (Javeriano medical center).

My academic journey includes an honors degree in medicine from the University of Tolima, where I consistently achieved top distinctions. I completed my specialization in plastic, aesthetic, maxillofacial, and hand surgery at the National University of Colombia, a leading institution. My comprehensive training covered aesthetic surgery, microsurgery, hand surgery, craniomaxillofacial surgery, reconstructive surgery, pediatric plastic surgery, burn management, oncological plastic surgery, and oculoplastic surgery across various prominent hospitals.

I am a recognized expert, having received the Arcadio Forero Award and represented Colombia internationally. My commitment to education is reflected in my role as a plastic surgery professor at the University of Tolima. I actively contribute to medical literature as a reviewer for 'Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery' journal and have published numerous scientific articles in prestigious international journals.

My professional experience includes practicing as a plastic surgeon in Bogotá, and I currently serve at Hospital Federico Lleras Acosta, Clínica Medicadiz, and in my private practice in Ibagué. I regularly engage in national and international congresses, ensuring I remain current with the latest advancements in plastic surgery.
