Dr. Luis Eduardo Linares Martinez

At the Colombian School of Medicine, I created Surgical Anastomosis workshops for Surgery residents, where I promoted and managed the Experimental Surgery laboratory during that period.

I have driven and promoted various disease prevention programs, earning special recognition from the Cundinamarca Department of Health for my work.

I served as a Rural Doctor at San Francisco de Viota Hospital from 1978 to 1979.

I received Resolution 1332 from the Cundinamarca Department of Health in 1979 for my professional work.

I was a Staff Physician at San José de Guaduas Hospital from 1979 to 1980.

I served as Head of Emergency Services at Clínica el Bosque from 1983 to 1986, and as a pre- and postgraduate lecturer in Surgery at the Colombian School of Medicine.

I worked as an Emergency General Surgeon at Centro Médico de los Andes from 1984 to 1986.

I was a consulting General Surgeon for the Department of Health at Simón Bolívar Hospital in 1987, Kennedy Hospital in 1988, and San Blas Hospital from 1990 to 1992. During this period, I also coordinated the Surgical Department and created the nutritional support groups in these three hospitals for the management of complex surgical patients, which are still active today.

In 1994, I was recognized as an Outstanding Young Executive of Colombia by the Junior Chamber for my Enterostomy Therapy program and multidisciplinary management of ostomy patients at I.S.S. Clínica San Pedro Claver.

Currently, I serve as a consulting Coloproctologist for Reina Sofía, Country, and La Colina clinics in Bogotá.

In my practice, I attend to private patients and those covered by prepaid medical companies.
