Dr. Luis Alejandro Orozco Linares

I am a member of the American Society for Bariatric Endoscopy, the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE), the American Gastroenterological Association, the American College of Gastroenterology, and the Colombian Association of Gastroenterology (ACG).

I am certified in Endoscopic Capsule (Universidad de Pamplona, Feb 2015) and have specialized training in Digestive Physiology: Esophageal Manometry and pH-metry (Sandhill University, Colorado, USA 2013). My expertise includes mucosal resection for early gastrointestinal lesions (Fundación Universitaria de Ciencias de la Salud, Bogotá, Colombia), endoscopic management of obesity and metabolic disorders, endoscopic capsule procedures, intragastric balloon for weight reduction, and endoscopic biliary surgery (Santiago de Chile, 2003).

I completed my training in Gastroenterology and Digestive Endoscopy, as well as Internal Medicine, at Universidad del Rosario, Bogotá, Colombia.

Currently, I serve as the Director of Research and Development at Foqus Clinical Research Center. I have led the development of over 100 clinical studies in Gastroenterology, Cardiology, Diabetes, Dyslipidemia, and metabolic disorders.
