I am a physician and surgeon from CES University in Medellín, a specialist in ophthalmology from CES University in Medellín, with a subspecialty in ocular plastic surgery, orbit, eyelids, and lacrimal system from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), at the Conde de Valenciana Institute of Ophthalmology in Mexico City. I had the opportunity to complete an "Observership" rotation at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami and at the IMO Eye Microsurgery Institute in Barcelona during my training, two globally recognized centers in ophthalmology. I continue my academic development by actively participating in national and international congresses in Ophthalmology and Oculoplastics. I conducted a series of online virtual courses, “Oculoplastics from Home,” with the participation of over 400 ophthalmologists and speakers from various countries, between March 25 and May 27, 2020, covering topics in Ocular Plastic Surgery, Orbit, Eyelids, Lacrimal System, and Ocular Oncology.
