I am a professor for the Sports Medicine Postgraduate Program at the University of Antioquia. I serve as an International Consultant for the Baylor Research Institute in the United States and am an active member of the Colombian Society of Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology (SCCOT), the Colombian Association of Arthroscopic Surgery (ACCART), and the International Society for Hip Preservation (ISHA).
I am a specialist in Scientific Publication Editing from the University of Antioquia and an associate editor for the Colombian Journal of Orthopedics and Traumatology.
I was the first recipient of the 2015 Hip Traveling Fellowship Award from the International Society for Hip Arthroscopy (ISHA), which included personalized training at Rush Medical Center (Chicago, USA), Orthopedic Surgery Munich (Munich, Germany), Luzern Kantonsspital (Lucerne, Switzerland), and Warwick University (Warwick, England).
I received the International Award for the best Basic Science Research Paper with application in arthroscopic surgery from the International Society for Hip Arthroscopy (ISHA) in San Francisco, 2016.
I was awarded for the Best Instructional Video in Orthopedic Surgery by the American Association of Orthopedic Surgery (AAOS) in San Diego, 2017.
