I am a pediatric orthopedist with over 40 years of experience. My focus is on treating minors, covering the following areas:
Hip dysplasia: I pioneered routine hip X-rays at three months of age. In 1986, at Universidad del Rosario and El Hospital Infantil Lorencita Villegas de Santos, I established this practice, requiring all pediatricians to rotate through my pediatric orthopedics clinic.
I am an expert in the development of posture and gait, from birth through the end of growth. This includes understanding the changes that occur in the lower limbs and spine during this period: different crawling styles, standing, gait development, and normal changes in lower limb orientation and angulation.
Limb pain: I diagnose and manage its causes.
Sports medicine: I initiated the pediatric sports traumatology course at the Sports Medicine faculty of Universidad del Bosque.
