Dr. Jorge Alonso Marín Cárdenas

I am a medical specialist in clinical toxicology, working as a university professor and clinical toxicologist in various high-complexity care centers in Medellín. I have extensive experience in smoking cessation management with international certifications, and I also manage addictions to psychoactive substances and medical drugs. In my clinical practice, I manage hospitalized patients with acute and chronic intoxications from multiple substances, including medications, pesticides, household products, and venomous animal poisoning. I am a member of multiple scientific associations, including the Latin American Association of Toxicology, the Latin American Thoracic Association, and the Colombian Clinical Toxicology Association, of which I am a founding member and president. Additionally, I serve as an expert witness in various areas of clinical toxicology. I look forward to supporting my patients through their processes, helping them achieve positive outcomes.
