Dr. Jaime Alberto Velásquez Ortega

I am Dr. Jaime Alberto Velásquez Ortega, a surgeon graduated from CES University, specializing in Orthopedics and Traumatology from Pontifical Bolivarian University in 2000. I also completed training in joint surgery at the Institute of Bones and Joints in West Palm Beach, USA, in 2000. Throughout my professional career, I have specialized in the comprehensive treatment of shoulder, hip, and knee joint diseases, having performed over 7,500 procedures in the last 20 years. Since 2014, I have incorporated platelet-rich plasma and stem cell treatments. I am currently part of the medical staff at BioXcellerator (Regenerative and Integrative Medicine), offering an innovative option to help improve my patients' quality of life, either without surgery or complementing it.

I have served as a university professor of Arthroscopy at Pontifical Bolivarian University (UPB) and CES University. Currently, I am a member of the Antioquia Society of Orthopedics and Traumatology (SAOT), the Colombian Society of Orthopedics and Traumatology (SCCOT), and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS).
