Dr. Guillermo Rodriguez Urueña

I was born in Bogotá in 1957 and obtained my medical degree as a surgeon from the National University of Colombia, Bogotá campus, in 1984. For 9 years, I practiced as a general surgeon. Between 1993 and 1995, I pursued specialization studies in Psychiatry at El Bosque University in Bogotá, completing my residency at Clínica Montserrat. From 1996 to 1997, I furthered my professional training in Individual, Couple, and Family Systemic Psychotherapy at Sinapsis (Training, Consulting, and Psychotherapy Center). Since then, I have worked as a psychiatrist at Hospital Universitario de la Samaritana, the National Police, as Scientific Director of the Assessment and Observation Unit, and currently coordinate the Drug Addiction Care Center at Hospital Santa Clara. I have maintained a private psychotherapy and psychiatry practice since the beginning of my career as a psychiatrist.
