Dr. Giovanni Higuera Gambasica

I am a medical surgeon specializing in Gynecology and Obstetrics from El Bosque University, an active member of the Colombian Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics (FECOLSOG). I have conducted studies in cervical pathology, human papillomavirus, and colposcopy, which have been reinforced throughout my professional practice, gaining extensive experience in the prevention, detection, counseling, and medical-surgical treatment of precancerous cervical lesions.

From the beginning of my specialization, I have been interested in the surgical management of conditions such as uterine fibroids, ovarian cysts, and genital prolapse, among others, which led me to acquire significant skill and ability in performing gynecological surgeries.

Given the continuous need for updating my knowledge and the increase in specific situations among Colombian women, I pursued studies in gynecological endocrinology, enabling me to manage conditions such as polycystic ovary syndrome, dysfunctional uterine bleeding, chronic anovulation, hirsutism, hyperprolactinemia, and other hormonal alterations, including normal stages like climacteric and menopause.

During my academic training, I acquired sufficient skills and knowledge to provide preconception counseling, prenatal care, and childbirth assistance with great warmth and professionalism, ensuring a positive outcome for this significant life stage.
