Dr. Gabriel Alberto Robledo Kaiser

I was born on September 27, 1950, in Bogotá. With a German mother and Colombian father, I have lived in Bogotá my entire life. I completed my medical studies at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, where I obtained my degree as a Medical Surgeon in 1977. After completing my internship and rural medical service in Garagoa, Boyacá, I traveled to the United States for postgraduate studies at Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Denville, New Jersey. Upon my return, I began my Residency in Internal Medicine and Cardiology at the Colombian School of Clinical Medicine A. Shaio in Bogotá, serving as chief resident and intern for one year. As a cardiologist, in 1987, I founded the Bogotá Cardiology Center. Throughout my extensive medical career, I have served as a Cardiologist at the National Cancer Institute, Cardiology Instructor at La Samaritana University Hospital, Medical Advisor in Cardiology for the Colombian Association of Medical Faculties (ASCOFAME), President of AEFAS, and Coordinator of the Arterial Hypertension Committee of the Colombian Society of Cardiology, among other roles. I have also authored and co-authored various publications. Currently, I am the Director of the Bogotá Cardiology Center and President of the Precardia Foundation, in addition to serving as a medical advisor for several Pharmaceutical Laboratories and as an American Heart Association certified instructor in BLS, ACLS. I work at the National Cancer Institute in Cardio-oncology, evaluating patients with cancer and cardiovascular disease.
