Dr. Fernando Yaacov Peña Moyano

I am Dr. Fernando Yaacov Peña Moyano, a Medical Doctor and Surgeon specializing in Ophthalmology. I have undergone special training in refractive surgery and other ocular procedures. My education includes studies at Universidad El Bosque, Universidad El Rosario, and the University of Southern California. I completed my training at the National Ophthalmological Foundation and La Clínica Barraquer in Bogotá, as well as at the Doheny Eye Institute in Los Angeles, USA.

I am a full member of the Colombian Society of Ophthalmology, an International Member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and the Pan-American Association of Ophthalmology. I have served as President of the Colombian Association for the Prevention of Blindness (ASOPREC) and Treasurer of the Colombian Association of Integrative Ophthalmology (ASOMINT). I am the author of several scientific publications in ophthalmology journals and a university lecturer in research and public health.

Recognizing the limitations of conventional medicine, I have spent over 15 years studying various integrative options for my patients. Now, they also benefit from Functional Medicine, homeopathy, acupuncture, and Microcurrent therapy. Above all, they receive guidance on aspects of LIVE Nutrition, which I consider the healthiest diet for human well-being.

This approach allows me to integrate Clinical and Surgical Ophthalmology with integrative options and a functional approach to achieve more precise prevention, diagnosis, and treatment in Ophthalmology.
