Dr. César Orlando Bretón Pinto

I am Dr. César Orlando Bretón Pinto, a distinguished specialist in Pediatric Cardiac Electrophysiology in Northeastern Colombia, located in Bucaramanga, Santander. I bring extensive experience in diagnosing and treating pediatric patients with congenital and acquired heart diseases, evaluating chest pain, assessing cardiovascular risk, studying syncope, and stratifying risk for sudden cardiac death. I also specialize in the indication of specific cardiac devices, including event monitors, pacemakers, cardioverter-defibrillators, and cardiac resynchronization therapy devices. I have a particular interest in the cardiovascular assessment of child and adolescent athletes.

I have been associated as a pediatric cardiologist and pediatric electrophysiologist with the Cardiovascular Foundation of Colombia and the Heart Institute of Bucaramanga. In these institutions, I provide specialized outpatient consultations, interpret non-invasive cardiovascular tests (electrocardiograms, M-mode, 2D, and color Doppler transthoracic pediatric echocardiograms, 24-hour Holter monitoring, ambulatory blood pressure monitoring (ABPM), and tilt table tests). I also perform invasive procedures for treating cardiac arrhythmias (conventional electrophysiological studies and 3D mapping) and implanting rhythm disorder devices (event monitors, pacemakers, cardioverter-defibrillators, and cardiac resynchronization therapy devices).
