Dr. Carlos Matiz

I am an Internist Pulmonologist from El Bosque University, with a fellowship at Stanford University and UCSF specializing in interstitial lung disease (pulmonary fibrosis). I was a university professor at El Bosque University until 2018 and now at the University of Los Andes. For the past 4 years, I have served as an Internist Pulmonologist at Fundación Santafe. Since 2000, I have participated in clinical research studies in Pulmonology, focusing on Pulmonary Fibrosis, COPD, Asthma, Deep Vein Thrombosis, Pulmonary Hypertension, and chronic cough. Since 2000, I have directed the Specialized Center for Pulmonary Diseases, where I participate in global research studies with American and European pulmonologists. Currently, I am the President of the Colombian Association of Pulmonology. I am characterized by my professionalism, academic approach, integrity, and respect for my patients.
