Dr. Carlos Edgar Figueroa Avendaño

I am a physician from the National University of Colombia, specialized in General Surgery, Coloproctology, and University Teaching from the Nueva Granada Military University. I am currently a candidate for a Master's degree in Medical Education at the University of La Sabana, completing my second year. I serve as the Head of the Coloproctology Service at Hospital Universitario Mayor Mederi, a Professor of Surgery at Universidad del Rosario, and the Director of the Coloproctology Program at Universidad del Rosario. I have over 10 years of experience in Surgery and Coloproctology, focusing on the management of colon, rectal, and anal cancer; diagnostic and interventional colonoscopy, laparoscopic colon and rectal surgery, fecal incontinence management, intestinal stoma management (colostomy and ileostomy), and comprehensive care for perianal conditions.
