Dr. Carlos Alejandro López Alban

I am Carlos Alejandro Lopez Alban.

I am a Physician and Surgeon from the University of Cauca - Popayan, Colombia (1988). I specialized in Sports Medicine at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul - Porto Alegre, Brazil (1992). I completed a fellowship in Exercise Physiology and high-performance team assistance in Bloomington, Indiana, USA (1994).

I am a specialist in Social Management and Non-Governmental Organizations from Pontifical Javeriana University, Cali (1995). I received training in Homotoxicology and anti-homotoxic therapies, endorsed by the International Association of Homotoxicology, Germany, at the Dr. Obyrne Biological Medicine Center, Cali (1991-1995). I trained in Non-Linear Spectral Analysis at the Institute of Applied Psychophysics in Omsk, Russia (2005-2016).

I hold a Master's in Public Health from the University of Valle, Cali (2018), and a Master's in Alternative Medicine with an emphasis on Osteopathy and Chiropractic from the National University of Colombia (2009).

Professional Activities: I served as a physician for the Colombian Youth National Football Teams at the Youth World Cup in Australia (1993), South American Qualifiers (1997), and the Toulon Hope Cup (2004). I worked at Indervalle's sports medicine center (1994-1999), for Club Atlético Boca Juniors (1994-1999), and as an advisor for the Ecuadorian National Team for the 2014 World Cup and the Colombian Olympic Committee (1997-1999), among other national and international sports entities.

Sports Activities: I was a member of the Russian Systema Combat by Mikhail Ryabko - Systema Combat Fran Arias (2010-2020). I have practiced Karate since 1983. I practiced Steven Seagal style Aikido with Guillermo Villegas (2001-2008) and Ju-Jitsu (2014-2020). I founded and presided over the Cali Marathon Club (2006-2010).

Founder of ZOE H&F: I founded ZOE H&F, a center for research in Human Health and Performance in Cali, Colombia, since 1997.

Academic Activities: I served as an advisor and speaker for HEElGMH Germany (1994-2020). My research focuses on Health and Physical Activity for high performance and public health, including Osteopathy and Biomechanics applied to martial arts. I develop functional analysis software covering anthropometry, metabolism, cardiovascular response, strength, lifestyle habits, and disease risk.
