I am a General Surgeon, graduated from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in 2009, and an Epidemiologist from Universidad del Rosario. I have additional studies in Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery and Bariatric Surgery, bringing solid and current concepts to the management of surgical pathologies of the upper digestive tract, both in emergency and scheduled surgery settings. I possess administrative knowledge gained from coordinating surgical and emergency groups in secondary and tertiary care institutions. My patient approach emphasizes humane and safe care for surgical patients. I have experience training new generations of general practitioners and surgeons at leading universities. I have a special interest in maintaining up-to-date knowledge through continuous education, performing advanced procedures with quality and safety, and conducting clinical research in surgery and related fields.
