Dr. Alvaro Delgado Paredes

I am a Surgeon from Javeriana University, specializing in General and Oncological Surgery from the National Cancer Institute and Javeriana University.

I am an active member of the Colombian Association of Surgery (ACC).

I trained in Renal Transplant and Peripheral Vascular Surgery at Hospital San Vicente de Paul (Medellín - 1985). I also trained in Laparoscopic Surgery through the ACC in 1991.

I completed Endovascular LASER training at Anchor Health Vascular Services, Naples, FL (USA) in 2004, sponsored by DIOMED Inc., and at Midwest Vein Centers, Dayton, Ohio (USA) in 2006, sponsored by Dornier MedTech.

I served as a Professor of Surgery at the Colombian School of Medicine and Javeriana University at Simón Bolívar Hospital (1983 - 2001).

I received Accreditation and Excellence in Surgery from the ACC in 1993.

I have over 25 years of experience in General, Vascular, Oncological, and Trauma Surgery, more than 10 years of experience in Laparoscopic Surgery, and over 300 successful cases in Endovascular Laser Surgery.

I have developed various research projects, participated in national and international symposiums, and contributed to surgical instruments and techniques. I continue my work in developing and improving healthcare in Colombia.
