About me

I am a neurosurgeon certified by the Mexican Board of Neurological Surgery, a graduate of the National Institute of Neurology and Neurosurgery Manuel Velasco Suárez and UNAM, where I completed advanced specialty training in Skull Base Surgery and Neuroendoscopy.

I specialize in skull base surgery — one of the most complex and delicate areas of neurosurgery — and in minimally invasive cerebral endoscopy for the treatment of intracranial tumors, hydrocephalus, and other neurological conditions.

Throughout my career, I have operated on hundreds of complex cases at leading referral centers in Mexico, always prioritizing maximum neurological preservation and minimally invasive approaches for my patients.

Neurosurgery demands technical precision and composure under pressure. I approach each intervention with the profound responsibility of holding what is most valuable: the human brain, and with it, the essence of who you are.

“Dr. Valencia is an excellent doctor. We went for our first consultation, and he performed a thorough examination of my mom. He paid close attention to every detail and ordered all the necessary tests and studies. During the second consultation, to review the results, the very kind doctor gave us the diagnosis and explained each and every one of the studies in detail. An excellent doctor, very professional, knowledgeable, and above all, genuinely compassionate.”

“Dr. Cristopher operated on my mom for some vertebrae that were pressing on her nerves, and everything went excellently. He always explained the risks to us, but fortunately, everything turned out well. I have other acquaintances who have had surgery with him, and they've all been fine. He's a specialist who really knows his stuff and provides great follow-up care. Thanks for your expertise 🙏”

Frequently asked

When is brain surgery necessary?
Brain surgery is indicated for tumors, hematomas, aneurysms, vascular malformations, hydrocephalus, or other lesions that compromise neurological function or patient life. Each case is individually evaluated with advanced neuroimaging.
What is cerebral endoscopy?
It is a minimally invasive technique that uses a small camera (endoscope) to operate within the brain or ventricles through millimeter-sized openings, avoiding large cranial incisions. It allows for the treatment of tumors, hydrocephalus, and other lesions with reduced risk and improved recovery.
Do you treat patients from other countries?
Yes, I treat patients from across Latin America. I offer virtual second opinions and coordinate logistics for international patients requiring evaluation or surgery in Querétaro.
